What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis comes from the Greek word "Hypnos", which means "God of Sleep".

Hypnosis is a state that resembles sleep but in which you can hear and respond to questions or suggestions. Hypnotherapy is an alternative curative healing method that is used to create subconscious positive change in a client in the form of new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behaviors or feelings.

As many have said, your brain is responding to situations 10% consciously and 90% subconsciously.

The conscious and subconscious parts of your brain are separated by a wall named  "Critical factor wall", which its role is to block any information that is in conflict with what is already registered on the subconscious.  This wall starts to form at the age of 7 and is completed by the age of 15.  Therefore, being no wall critical factor before the age of 7 years old, all information is recorded as fact and will remain treated as being true until changed.  We can understand why kids before the age of 6, act like little sponges with information and remember things much easier than adults.

Hypnotherapy is used to guide the conscious to bypass the critical factor wall to analyze and heal the information recorded on the subconscious and finally suggest and record new wanted behavior.

Most people will find the state of hypnosis to be extremely pleasant as it involves profound levels of relaxation to both body and mind, but most of all, Hypnotherapy is praised for its effectiveness and speedy results.  It's a powerful tool to help you make positive changes in your life because:

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will control your life and you will call it fate."                                                                                                                                                                                          Carl Jung
